About Us! What is Detox?

It’s never to late, Break the Addiction..

Detox Treatemnt Program

Detox Is The First Step To Recovery

Detox and Rehab

Successful rehab depends on a number of things. First, a person must want to break free of addiction. Then, an assessment must take place to determine both the individual’s physical and mental health. Once admitted into detox, the addicted individual is given medications to ease them through withdrawal. This can be the most challenging part of the process. Their mind and body have grown use to the addictive substances that have ruled their existence for a prolonged period of time. Successful detox, coupled with helpful cognitive therapies, can enhance their chance of successful rehabilitation.

Intake is the step in which assessments are taken and information is gathered. At Sprout Health California Detox, we have a talented team of individuals who can make the process run smooth. Clients are given an overview of our program rules, and they gain a better understanding of what to expect from their program. Our patients check in and the process begins.

Detox is best accomplished in a residential setting where the patients have access to 24/7 care and support. When harmful substances are removed from the body, patients are subject to withdrawal symptoms. Not every patient will experience withdrawal in the same manner. Medications and other natural detox methods are likely to be administered at this juncture.

We may also introduce cognitive therapy at this time. It helps a patient to address problems in a different, more positive manner. It also helps patients to make the connection with their thinking and behavioral patterns. We want our patients to be fully committed to living a life free of drugs or alcohol. The detox process can last from several days to several weeks or longer.

Our team of professional clinicians are capable of providing treatment with a highly individualized and knowledge-based approach. It is during this stage that patients undergo the process of breaking their addiction habit. They learn how to live without drug dependence through education, holistic treatments, intensive therapies, and experimental therapies as needed. Cognitive Behavioral Therapy helps patients to make the connection between their thoughts and actions. This an immense step for our patients. Once patients begin to understand the cause of their addiction, and the trigger points that can lead to relapse, they are well on their way to regaining their health. Patients who fully participate in their treatments find that it becomes easier and more rewarding.

Patients in our care can undergo inpatient or outpatient treatment plans. Inpatient treatment is intense, and allows us to monitor a patient 24/7. Additional steps can be taken and treatments adjusted as needed.

Post -Treatment

It is our mission to help each patient arrive at a point where permanent sobriety is possible. Post-treatment is designed to help patients connect with individuals and organizations that can help the remain sober. Family and friends can also be a part of the process through family counseling. Family members and the addicted individual learn to communicate on a completely different level. Quite often, family and friend relationships are strained to the point of breaking.

This is at the point that an addicted individual needs their support and help the most. Counseling helps everyone involved to have a better understanding of both the causes and cures of addiction. Rehab can also teach patients to find new meaning in life. There is enough evidence to support the fact that purpose can give individuals the strength to make it through detox and beyond.

Recovering addicts can keep the following tips in mind when going through detox and rehab:

  • Continue to develop nourishing relationships. Relationships matter, and many people relate happiness to meaningful relationships.
  • Find time to give back to a worthy cause. You can donate your time. Find a cause to volunteer for.
  • Exercise and eat healthy. Exercise and healthy eating are suggested for anyone who wants to remain healthy. If you are healing through detox, it makes it all the more important.
  • Cling to optimism and gratitude. Be thankful that you are alive and that you have an opportunity to pick your life back up and to rejoin society.
  • Find a hobby that you enjoy. Staying busy will keep your mind occupied. There is an old saying that an idle mind is the devil’s playground. This happens to be true in more ways that you can imagine.

If you or a loved one is experiencing an addiction, do not hesitate to seek professional clinical help. At Sprout Health California Detox, we have the solutions to help you live a life free of drug and alcohol abuse.
